P4A is delighted and proud to announce that we are hosting the Irish premiere of Another Summer, a moving film that shares the stories of Afghan and Ukrainian refugees in Europe, told through their own eyes.
Another Summer is a film by refugees, about refugees. Its directors equipped and trained a group of first-time Afghan and Ukrainian filmmakers — individuals who had themselves sought refuge across Europe after the Taliban’s return to power in 2021 and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Working in small teams, these filmmakers travelled to seven cities across Europe and Turkey to document the experiences of people like themselves — those who fled violence and oppression, searching for safety and dignity in new lands.
P4A invites you to join us for the Irish premiere of Another Summer, followed by a panel discussion with Director Alžběta Kovandová-Bartoníčková, Hussain Behtaash, and Yelena Cannon.
This event is made possible with support from the Ireland Against Racism Fund and the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration.
