Celebrating Eid

This past weekend, the Mud Island Community Garden came alive with laughter, music, and the delicious scent of home-cooked dishes as families and friends gathered to celebrate Eid. The event was a beautiful blend of tradition and togetherness, featuring Afghan food, music, and lots of lovely conversations.

Neighbors from all backgrounds joined in the festivities—many experiencing Eid for the first time.

More than just a celebration, the day was a chance to build bridges and strengthen community ties. As hugs and “Eid Mubarak” wishes filled the room, it was clear: when we come together, we all shine a little brighter.

Thank you to the Afghan community in Dublin for preparing Kabuli Pulao, Bolania, and Rosh, special Afghan foods along with green tea for all the guests and to our friends in Mud Island for welcoming us to their community garden.
